Behringer-Crawford Museum offers something for every age and taste. The museum has programs for preschoolers, such as Tot Tuesdays! and Chippie's Sensational Science Labs. School-aged children can participate in school field trips, scout programs, summer camps and other special activities, while adults can enjoy tours, lectures and musical programs.BandinEdCenter

Behringer-Crawford Museum also offers outreach programs for schools and daycares, as well as a unique space for meeting and city events, where staff members can present programs. In addition, BCM has many traveling suitcase programs where we supply the lesson plan and artifacts and you supply the instructor.

Educational Opportunities

BCM offers a wide range of opportunities for all ages and abilities. Educational experiences range from self guided tours where the museum visitors are welcome to peruse the galleries at their own pace to guided tours and programs which offer a more structured and focused learning experience. BCM also provides a variety of outreach and suitcase programs where the museum comes to you! 


Brown Bag Lunch Programs

On the third Thursday of each month, we offer insightful brown bag lectures at noon that are sure to enlighten and entertain. You bring your lunch. We supply the drinks, dessert and the discourse!

Chippie's Sensational Science Labs

Are there budding young scientists in your household? Nurture the curious spirit of your preschoolers by enrolling them in Chippie's Sensational Science Labs, a new educational series for children aged 3 to 5. Inspired by Chippie, BCM's chipmunk mascot, these interactive monthly sessions will engage and entertain kids while teaching science basics, incorporating S.T.E.A.M. elements and age-appropriate experiments.
